In the 9th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Borges to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Fernandes in the 16th minute of play forced Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Doriva de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Valadares in the 17th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Luís Eduardo Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Fernandez should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Mineiro in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Fernandez saved Marzagão from getting behind. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Mineiro went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. André da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ. Leonardo Mineiro scored 0-6 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Mineiro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Fernandez saved Marzagão from getting behind. Leonardo Mineiro took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Maurinho Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remo Borges's late challenge caught a Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Borges helped the player get up and apologised. Remo Borges hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from André da Fonseca.
