Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Hoffmann in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Pendotiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Paulo Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Luís Fernandez, 2-0. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Paulo Neves sped through Marzagão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Paulo Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Fernandez should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Júlio Quadros sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Paulo Neves sped through Marzagão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Neves in the 44th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pendotiba's Paulo Neves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Luís Fernandez. That made the score 6-0 after 45 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The audience was convinced that Paulo Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Paulo Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Neves's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Neves in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marzagão's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Neves was slow to take the kick. During this time Pendotiba's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. César Rosa hit a great ball. Remo Borges hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Paulo Neves put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Neves's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Pendotiba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
