Internazionale-RS's David Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Vale in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Jorginho Soares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kaká Lopes, passed just outside the right post. Dino de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Percy Lopes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino de Toledo in the 25th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luan Vale in the 28th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Magalhães in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Dino de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Internazionale-RS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldinho de Amaral in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Internazionale-RS's Ronaldinho de Amaral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 46th minute Leonardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Narciso Ceresso hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorginho Soares was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Leonardo Magalhães from a close distance when the talented David Godoi managed to make a qualified save. Internazionale-RS's players were relieved. In the 56th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Félix to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Jenipapo SC's Cristiano Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Godoi. That made the score 2-1 after 59 minutes of play. In the 65th minute, Luís Eduardo Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Washington Costa. Percy Lopes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho de Amaral in the 70th minute of the match. Internazionale-RS's Jorginho Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luan Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Narciso Ceresso hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Oliveira. David Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Marquez went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Washington Costa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Leonardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Soares in the 91st minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
