Ronaldo MacAlister started the match with the kick off. Flávio Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Flávio Netto hit a great ball. Flávio Netto got his second yellow card in the match during the 5th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Flávio Netto got a free kick in the 6th minute. David Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jürgen Klinsmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino de Toledo in the 20th minute of the match. Ronaldinho de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo MacAlister in the 29th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Akira アキラ booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo MacAlister came free, but David Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Internazionale-RS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ronaldo MacAlister was slow to take the kick. During this time Akira アキラ's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Akira アキラ's corner Ronaldo MacAlister fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Godoi quite easily take care of the ball. Luís Eduardo Furlan thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished David Godoi, a very annoying self made goal in the 32nd minute which led to 1-1. The supporters of Akira アキラ booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Ronaldinho de Amaral got a free kick in the 43rd minute. David Godoi came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Akira アキラ's Ronaldo MacAlister. But to his dismay, Ronaldo MacAlister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorginho Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Dino de Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internazionale-RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akira アキラ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Dino de Toledo got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 54 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Furlan. In the 54th minute of the match Ronaldo MacAlister sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Godoi skillfully saved the ball. David Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jürgen Klinsmann in the 62nd minute. Jorginho Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. David Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo MacAlister in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Akira アキラ were awarded a corner. Ronaldo MacAlister went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ronaldo MacAlister almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Internazionale-RS's David Godoi did a great save. Dino de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Internazionale-RS's David Godoi got control of the ball when Jürgen Klinsmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo MacAlister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Godoi having to interfere. Akira アキラ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
