Kong Gang Zhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cremonese FC's Yasar Bonnemain got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Luís Fabiano Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodolfo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Arce in the 23rd minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fabiano Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A A Arizona's Rodolfo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Jurgi in the 30th minute of play. Sidney Donato's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Donato helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cremonese FC's Sidney Donato got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Batista to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Valério Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Kong Gang Zhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Luizinho Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cremonese FC made a substitution.
