Rogério Ceni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Martins in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mário Nascimento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rogério Ceni. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After 22 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Valério Cordeiro. Carlos Eduardo Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Teles during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Teles hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Aloísio Chulapa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Paraense came free, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Mário Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Roceira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Fausto Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogério Ceni was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Martins in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Valladares. Fausto Martins took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Nascimento in the 64th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Eduardo Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Júlio Proença hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Chaves acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vito Arruda. Divina Comédia FC's Dedê Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Roceira SC's zone, Pedrão Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Chaves came out of the goal and Pedrão Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Martins scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogério Ceni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Proença went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Martins went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Nascimento in the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Roceira SC's Juan Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Ceni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 96th minute, Róbson Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Cerezo in the 97th minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Roceira SC were the better team. Roceira SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
