Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valério Paranaense started the match with the kick off. Rodolfo Siqueira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José Paulo Negri. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Valério Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Siqueira was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Aloísio Chulapa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aloísio Chulapa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 18th minute, Pedrão Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Siqueira was a little too slow when Dedê Cerezo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 25th minute, Valério Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A A Arizona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Luís Fabiano Branco came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the A A Arizona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fabiano Branco couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Chulapa in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by A A Arizona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Váldson Lopes was slow to take the kick. During this time Divina Comédia FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A A Arizona's goalie and right to Aloísio Chulapa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A A Arizona's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 41st play minutes Luís Fabiano Branco shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Rogério Ceni and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 45th minute, Valério Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dedê Cerezo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Valério Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Bertassi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Ceni. Pedro Luís Bertassi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in A A Arizona's zone, Dedê Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Siqueira came out of the goal and Dedê Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Valério Paranaense 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-5. Rogério Ceni made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Pedro Luís Bertassi sent off a good shot on target. Jaime Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Branco to maneuver through the defense. When Divina Comédia FC's Aloísio Chulapa in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A A Arizona's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Dorian Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Chicão Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. A A Arizona's supporters rose to their feet, but Chicão Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Ceni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valério Paranaense went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the game, A A Arizona's Pedro Luís Bertassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Ceni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-8. In the 93rd minute, Bruninho Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Divina Comédia FC's Váldson Lopes got a free kick in the 96th minute.
