Leopoldo Maties ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Pacellas short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Franco Albanesi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Franco Albanesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Pacella in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Davide Di Nunzio made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Atletico Benevento's Leopoldo Maties sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Albanesi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 53 minutes of play, Atletico Benevento's Armando Pacella made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Albanesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sao Brasola's Ennio Croce got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 60th play minutes Leopoldo Maties shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Franco Albanesi and just under the crossbar into goal. 6-0 became the score in the 63rd minute when Leopoldo Maties elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Leopoldo Maties recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leopoldo Maties had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Pacella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Franco Albanesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sao Brasola's Fulvio Faiella got a free kick in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Sao Brasola defense, Leopoldo Maties kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Albanesi. The Sao Brasola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Albanesi should have stopped the shot. The Atletico Benevento fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Atletico Benevento's Armando Pacella looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Leopoldo Maties put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Franco Albanesi. Leopoldo Maties blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Albanesi having to make a save. In the 90th minute, Armando Pacella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Albanesi was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Franco Albanesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Pacella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonello Di Iorio during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonello Di Iorio hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
