Fabrizio De Feo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Amadeo Hitzeder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XMAS's Armando Polidori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeo Hitzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Amadeo Hitzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amadeo Hitzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeo Hitzeder might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Polidori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeo Hitzeder ran back to his position shaking his head. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Hitzeder in the 41st minute of play. Amadeo Hitzeder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Polidori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half ASD Real Molinella 1911 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domenico Alati to make the kick off. With a little luck, XMAS's Armando Polidori got control of the ball when Amadeo Hitzeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Amadeo Hitzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Polidori came out of the goal and Amadeo Hitzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ASD Real Molinella 1911's Camillo Talamo was substituted for Amadeo Hitzeder. If Camillo Talamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Camillo Talamo sped through XMAS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armando Polidori. When the match was over ASD Real Molinella 1911 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than XMAS throughout the match.
