In the 8th minute, Santoryu FC's Camillo Punta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camillo Punta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santoryu FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camillo Punta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Camillo Punta kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Demetrio Borrelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cesate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrio Borrelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Damiano Sisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Eraldo Di Matteo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Di Renzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 25 minutes, Demetrio Borrelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cesate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrio Borrelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortunato Proia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Sisti in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Borrelli. In the 30th match minute, Cesate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Borrelli to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Demetrio Borrelli got a free kick in the 31st minute. Fortunato Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Martorella, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Cesate's Fortunato Proia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Sisti in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Martorella came free, but Fortunato Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armin Giolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Grasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortunato Proia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Martorella in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Demetrio Borrelli made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cesate's zone, Giovanni Milan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Proia came out of the goal and Giovanni Milan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Proia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damiano Sisti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. If Corrado Lizzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fausto Donato hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Santoryu FC's zone, Eraldo Di Matteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armin Giolo came out of the goal and Eraldo Di Matteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado Lizzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Proia having to interfere. Eraldo Di Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlo Cirulli charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo Cirulli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when Cesate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Cirulli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corrado Lizzi struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Fortunato Proia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santoryu FC. 77 minutes into the game, Santoryu FC's Damiano Sisti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fortunato Proia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fortunato Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Martorella, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Damiano Sisti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Proia having to interfere. Damiano Sisti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santoryu FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
