In the 11th match minute, Santoryu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Sisti to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Santoryu FC's Christian Raiola seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christian Raiola the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santoryu FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christian Raiola had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Raiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Santoryu FC's zone, Ettore Limitone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armin Giolo came out of the goal and Ettore Limitone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Kenji Takahara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Armin Giolo but with some difficulty. The supporters of ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Sisti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Bruno Lenzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armin Giolo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 23rd minute of the match Santoryu FC got a corner. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fedele Di Tommaso ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Clarence Makélélé took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Armin Giolo to make any attempt to save it. Armin Giolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santa Clausius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Damiano Sisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Bertoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Santa Clausius fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's protests and gave Santa Clausius a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ got a freekick which was hit by Santa Clausius. Damiano Sisti scored 2-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Bertoni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armin Giolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santa Clausius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dario Cerri hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Lenzi to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Clarence Makélélé got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damiano Sciarra hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalkeeper Angelo Bertoni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ettore Limitone charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ettore Limitone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ettore Limitone kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Armin Giolo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Santa Clausius. But to his dismay, Santa Clausius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Bruno Lenzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Santoryu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Sisti to maneuver through the defense. Santoryu FC's Armin Giolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Lenzi in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Angelo Bertoni got control of the ball when Aurelio Martorella tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Clarence Makélélé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santa Clausius in the 91st minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Armin Giolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santoryu FC's Armin Giolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santa Clausius in the 92nd minute of play. Santoryu FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
