In the 10th minute, Maurice Chalaye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Royal PSG were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Chaponnay FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jean-Yves Fresnais took the corner. 16 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Maurice Chalaye sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dilan Bobet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Teisseire was the one to do the kick off. The referee showed Gustave Szymczak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chaponnay FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
