In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herblay's goalkeeper Sabri Letailleur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Jarosiewicz. Guillaume Soudan in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Herblay's Sabri Letailleur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Lagarrigue in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vivien Contant to make the kick off. Sabri Letailleur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivien Contant in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Herblay's Sabri Letailleur got control of the ball when Vivien Contant tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Batista Fuertehijar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmid Lamouroux was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Adam Maugard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herblay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Antonin Daguerre hit a great ball. Vivien Contant took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sabri Letailleur. Sabri Letailleur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cosa nostra Lyon walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
