The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Victor Maxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervasio Sazon came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by San Pablo FC's Cleto Bingen. But to his dismay, Cleto Bingen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the ORIZABA F.C. defense, Isidoro Gaueko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gervasio Sazon. The ORIZABA F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gervasio Sazon should have stopped the shot. Petru Pamfil hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Isidoro Gaueko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gervasio Sazon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, Silverio Lesardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Pablo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ORIZABA F.C. the free kick. A collision led to San Pablo FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Silverio Lesardo hit a great ball. Cesar Lop charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Lop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, ORIZABA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Lop to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Silverio Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesar Lop took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximo Pelayo. San Pablo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gervasio Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Gaueko in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of San Pablo FC booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Rosario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Gaueko scored 0-5 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gervasio Sazon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cesar Lop got a free kick in the 54th minute. Isidoro Gaueko was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. San Pablo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. San Pablo FC's Isidoro Gaueko got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, San Pablo FC's Petru Pamfil got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Isidoro Gaueko came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the San Pablo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Gaueko couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Isidoro Gaueko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gervasio Sazon, passed just outside the right post. Isidoro Gaueko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Gervasio Sazon made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Gervasio Sazon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Gaueko. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petru Pamfil during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Petru Pamfil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximo Pelayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Deunoro's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. A collision led to San Pablo FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Szilárd Varsányi hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Cesar Lop shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maximo Pelayo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match was over San Pablo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ORIZABA F.C. throughout the match.
