Zuriko Lagala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Xusto Vada put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inter de Guayaquil FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! 11 minutes into the game, DALO S.C.'s Roman Arguiso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zuriko Lagala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 15thth minute of the game Norberto Trespuentes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zuriko Lagala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Franco Mussoll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramos Pejuan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Franco Mussoll managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Mussoll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramos Pejuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Mellington Chirivoga got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The referee ignored Inter de Guayaquil FC's protests and gave Mellington Chirivoga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Xurde Argoños got a free kick in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramos Pejuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Manolo Uquillas came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zuriko Lagala could save by the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Macias Ribadas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DALO S.C. the free kick. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Macias Ribadas hit a great ball. Zuriko Lagala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ximun Arichaga's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Ramos Pejuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Mussoll in the 93rd minute of play. Zuriko Lagala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Trespuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DALO S.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
