After 3 minutes of play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Sagastia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Igor Sagastia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Mussoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mellington Chirivoga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Mellington Chirivoga hit a great ball. Igor Sagastia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mellington Chirivoga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Macias Ribadas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Zuriko Lagala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Revillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Atletico de la Rosa CF's Igor Sagastia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macias Ribadas in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teo Revillas to strike the kick off in the second half. Franco Mussoll struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Igor Sagastia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. Rodolfo Cortadelles charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Cortadelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico de la Rosa CF's zone, Franco Mussoll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Sagastia came out of the goal and Franco Mussoll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Matías Oyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Sagastia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roque Mora. In the 74th match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macias Ribadas to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Teo Revillas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zuriko Lagala. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Revillas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 84 minutes into the game, Venceslao Olea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico de la Rosa CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Guayaquil FC the free kick. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
