In the 3rd minute, Dani Galiana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Felipe Salantes. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 11 minutes, Juan-Carlos Izarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. No Me Inscriban Gracias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan-Carlos Izarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dani Galiana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Felipe Salantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodney Cosca hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Rubio Poo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubio Poo scored 2-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Long Yuan De, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Enrique Antonijoan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Juan-Carlos Izarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zarando Eguizabal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Felipe Salantes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Izarra in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Juan-Carlos Izarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Long Yuan De. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Long Yuan De should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zarando Eguizabal to strike the kick off in the second half. Long Yuan De made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubio Poo in the 51st minute. No Me Inscriban Gracias's Rubio Poo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Zarando Eguizabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astillero del Guayas's supporters rose to their feet, but Zarando Eguizabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Salantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Long Yuan De made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Rubio Poo sent off a good shot on target. Juan-Carlos Izarra came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Long Yuan De could save by the left post. Long Yuan De was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from López Norato. A collision led to No Me Inscriban Gracias getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lucas Picavea hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, No Me Inscriban Gracias's goal looked a bit too open when Zarando Eguizabal came free, but Felipe Salantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan-Carlos Izarras short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Long Yuan De to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Rubio Poo came free, but Long Yuan De reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubio Poo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Yuan De having to interfere. Long Yuan De stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubio Poo's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Rubio Poo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Long Yuan De read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Antonijoan to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan-Carlos Izarra. In the 88th minute, Juan-Carlos Izarra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Long Yuan De. The goal made the score 2-3. In the 91st minute, Renán Llantaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind No Me Inscriban Gracias's goalkeeper Felipe Salantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 minutes, Lucas Picavea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the No Me Inscriban Gracias and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, No Me Inscriban Gracias's Lucas Picavea got a free kick in the 94th minute. Felipe Salantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarando Eguizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No Me Inscriban Gracias played a much better game than Astillero del Guayas and deserved their victory. The Astillero del Guayas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
