With his leg Juan Pedro Owen managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Altermundi FC's Andolín Pumarino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Andolín Pumarino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juan Pedro Owen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andolín Pumarino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Ignacio Berguecio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Altermundi FC's Tamás Saághy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Juan Pedro Owen but with some difficulty. Inocente Luna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Juan Pedro Owen made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Altermundi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Zamorano came free, but Rollo Duguid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Pedro Owen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andolín Pumarino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Jose Manuel Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Juan Pedro Owen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Andolín Pumarino came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Altermundi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andolín Pumarino couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Altermundi FC's Andolín Pumarino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Pedro Owen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Andolín Pumarino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Pedro Owen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. CRUZ DEL SUR's Juan Pedro Owen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save CRUZ DEL SUR from getting a goal against them. Lorenzo Mella hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Tamás Saághy struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Juan Pedro Owen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altermundi FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose Manuel Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Andolín Pumarino came free, but Juan Pedro Owen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Pedro Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocente Luna in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Andolín Pumarino notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of CRUZ DEL SUR's Juan Pedro Owen. Juan Pedro Owen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th match minute, Altermundi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andolín Pumarino to maneuver through the defense. Xulián Artaño kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Podador Arraño got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute Andolín Pumarino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pedro Owen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Jose Manuel Barbosa made a precise shot to the right of Juan Pedro Owen. CRUZ DEL SUR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 78 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Andolín Pumarino came free, but Juan Pedro Owen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Vicente Tolhauzsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altermundi FC the free kick. After 84 minutes of play, Altermundi FC's Andolín Pumarino made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Pedro Owen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 87 minutes into the match, Andolín Pumarino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Pedro Owen. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andolín Pumarino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. There was no doubt that Altermundi FC were the better team. Altermundi FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
