Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Magallanes's Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Gustav Tidéksson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomás Las Casas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomás Las Casas came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by General Velásquez's Manuelo Oñez y Loyola. But to his dismay, Manuelo Oñez y Loyola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jorge Vicente Squella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Tomás Las Casas made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Irigoyen got free with Tomás Las Casas in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 32nd minute of play. Tomás Las Casas made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jorge Vicente Squella sent off a good shot on target. Tomás Las Casas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Las Casas made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Guntademaro Goyenechea sent off a good shot on target. Tomás Las Casas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Guntademaro Goyenechea came free, but Tomás Las Casas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 44th minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Tomás Las Casas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Guntademaro Goyenechea made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Manuelo Oñez y Loyola. The supporters of Magallanes booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Tidéksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Las Casas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Squella in the 56th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Rolf Holmgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Magallanes were furious when Luis Johnson was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Magallanes:s Tomás Las Casas showed great skill when he stopped Gustav Tidéksson:s penalty. 3-0 came in the 63rd minute when Gustav Tidéksson all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Tomás Las Casas. Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 66th minute of play. With his leg Rolf Holmgren managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Magallanes's Herminio Quintero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Guntademaro Goyenechea came free, but Tomás Las Casas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Izaga came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolf Holmgren could save by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Guntademaro Goyenechea notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas. Tomás Las Casas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Jorge Vicente Squella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Teofan Bozadzhiyski came free, but Tomás Las Casas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Guntademaro Goyenechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Las Casas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Las Casas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Squella in the 90th minute of the match. Teofan Bozadzhiyski took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Las Casas. Tomás Las Casas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 97 played minutes, General Velásquez's Gustav Tidéksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás Las Casas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in General Velásquez reached it. There was no doubt that General Velásquez were the better team. General Velásquez's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
