An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guntademaro Goyenechea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serbülent Baysan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When Guntademaro Goyenechea came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the General Velásquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guntademaro Goyenechea couldn't finish the play. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Cardoso in the 25th minute of play. Victorio Monte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Holmgren having to interfere. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 29th minute of the match. Alexandrino Gameiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rolf Holmgren made a huge save. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuelo Oñez y Loyola in the 34th minute of play. Rolf Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Cruz in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of General Velásquez booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandrino Gameiro to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Serbülent Baysan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Victorio Monte got a free kick in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Vicente Squella. After 90 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Cardoso. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
