Alam Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Apolo Larrañaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 minutes Talcampeón FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartolomé Romero who took care of the corner kick. Alam Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Xalvador Quijada. In the 23rd minute Yeray Lisperguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Nochev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Raineri got free with Kåre Nochev in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Talcampeón FC's Apolo Larrañaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Paris in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Pulgar. Kåre Nochev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanio Lezaeta in the 37th minute. A collision led to Talcampeón FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Adolfo Halat hit a great ball. When U. de Tarapacá's Ramiro Pulgar in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulín Jurado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Sobah Zorrilla kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tanio Lezaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcampeón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanio Lezaeta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kåre Nochev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Saralegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kåre Nochev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanio Lezaeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Ramiro Pulgar got a free kick in the 65th minute. Apolo Larrañaga was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Blanco Paris capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Blanco Paris really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. If Alam Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The U. de Tarapacá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
