Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patxi Claude started the match with the kick off. Ceferino Balasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Vidal in the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lucho Pérez hit a great ball. Marino Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermelando Lambarrie in the 9th minute of play. When Arturo Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Colo-Colo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Vidal couldn't finish the play. Jaume Mattei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ceferino Balasi made a huge save. Ceferino Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Domenico Báez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Zorros del Desierto's Ceferino Balasi got control of the ball when Arturo Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jaume Mattei hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patxi Claude in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marino Sadin saved Colo-Colo from getting behind. Marino Sadin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patxi Claude in the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Zorros del Desierto booed when Colo-Colo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Huaiquipan didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Baquero hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermelando Lambarrie in the 38th minute of play. Arturo Vidal took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceferino Balasi. Ceferino Balasi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 46th minute Hermelando Lambarrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marino Sadin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domenico Báez to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Domenico Báez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colo-Colo and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 minutes, Patxi Claude made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Cerilo Romero replaced Rodrigo Pérez. Zorros del Desierto's Marco-Antonio Figueroa was substituted for Hermelando Lambarrie. In the 64th minute Arturo Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Jaume Mattei came free, but Ceferino Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Baquero kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Colo-Colo made a substitution. David Israel Epulef replaced Domenico Báez. In the 69th minute of the match Mar Acou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marino Sadin skillfully saved the ball. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patxi Claude in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute, David Israel Epulef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes in the game, Marco-Antonio Figueroa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marino Sadin having to interfere. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jaume Mattei hit a great ball. The Zorros del Desierto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zorros del Desierto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
