After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Ernesto Campusano got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Marino Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Pedemonte in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucho Pérez in the 6th minute of play forced SiTomanBoy´s's goalkeeper José Alberto Sarfate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Riesco in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lucho Pérez hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Maximiliano Pedemonte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marino Sadin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Colo-Colo's Jaume Mattei in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SiTomanBoy´s's goalie prevented a goal. José Alberto Sarfate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marino Sadin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Riesco in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Pedemonte came free, but Marino Sadin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Alberto Sarfate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Milián Casanova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SiTomanBoy´s's zone, Domenico Báez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Alberto Sarfate came out of the goal and Domenico Báez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Riesco in the 46th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Marino Sadin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Riesco made a kick off. After some careless play in the SiTomanBoy´s defense, Jaume Mattei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Alberto Sarfate. The SiTomanBoy´s fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Alberto Sarfate should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, SiTomanBoy´s's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Vidal came free, but José Alberto Sarfate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Jaume Mattei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colo-Colo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 66 minutes into the match, SiTomanBoy´s's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Báez came free, but José Alberto Sarfate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Colo-Colo's Arturo Vidal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Colo-Colo made a substitution. David Israel Epulef replaced Domenico Báez. Marino Sadin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Asendegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colo-Colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Campusano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Vidal struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. José Alberto Sarfate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colo-Colo.
