Xencio Millan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edoardo Filippini in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute of the game Rafa Coutinho made a throw-in which M. Andik Faturrahman played forward. Edoardo Filippini scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xencio Millan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Julian Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edoardo Filippini got free with Xencio Millan in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Cardiff City FC booed when Royal PSG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Jouglet didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Efraim in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Bétourne saved Royal PSG from getting behind. The corner ended in Everardo Joey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Royal PSG's Tristan Bétourne did a great save. Edoardo Filippini kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Royal PSG's Samuel Izard was substituted for Edoardo Filippini. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Walme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Celso Walme got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Celso Walme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Bétourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Izard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cardiff City FC's Celso Walme in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Royal PSG's goalie prevented a goal. Augusto Santio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. M. Andik Faturrahman hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Cardiff City FC's Xencio Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Izard in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Walme in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Bétourne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Royal PSG's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
