Witomir Perkowski hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Gonçalo Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Matysek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Matysek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Adam Matysek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Bittencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adam Matysek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Velez fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Velez's Esteban Ferman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adam Matysek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Ferman in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Cafu Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafu Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 played minutes FC Gdansk36 got a freekick which was hit by Leon Kazczyk. FC Gdansk36's Adam Matysek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Ferman in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Piotr Kozlowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velez's Fulgencio Rioja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esteban Ferman in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Matysek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Gdansk36's Adam Matysek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Bittencourt in the 41st minute of play. Jan Olisadebe's late challenge caught a Velez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Olisadebe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Jan Olisadebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Velez getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cafu Pimenta hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piotr Kozlowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Olisadebe in the 51st minute of play. After 51 minutes, Venancio Caton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez and the FC Gdansk36 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Velez's Fulgencio Rioja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iggi Kot in the 56th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Velez got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Tomaka. Gonçalo Bittencourt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adam Matysek came out and tried to block the shot, but Gonçalo Bittencourt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piotr Kozlowski in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Witomir Perkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Witomir Perkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes FC Gdansk36 got a freekick which was hit by Witomir Zworski. Adam Matysek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Bittencourt in the 66th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Piotr Kozlowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulgencio Rioja was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Adam Matysek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Ziemowit Fafinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Fermans short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Adam Matysek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fulgencio Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Rekowski in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute FC Gdansk36 were awarded a corner. Witomir Zworski went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of FC Gdansk36 booed when Velez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Caton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Piotr Kozlowski came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Gdansk36 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piotr Kozlowski couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Velez eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
