Guga Baiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Śląsk Katowice's Antoni Walaszkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Braga in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Śląsk Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Radowit Grocholski came free, but Antoni Walaszkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mytarka €ity getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ulaş Kutel hit a great ball. Adelino Salgado hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofil Rzegotka to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Teofil Rzegotka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Debowy in the 57th minute of play forced Śląsk Katowice's goalkeeper Antoni Walaszkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Śląsk Katowice's Tadeusz Zerde managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arthur Rizzardo in the 66 minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Marek Bronicki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 minutes, Radomir Nieuzyla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mytarka €ity and the Śląsk Katowice players grew even worse after the yellow card.
