Śląsk Katowice made a substitution. Marek Bronicki replaced Teofil Rzegotka. Roland Banaszaks short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Antoni Walaszkiewicz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Śląsk Katowice's Antoni Walaszkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Śląsk Katowice from getting a goal against them. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Bronicki in the 96th minute of play. The Merengue FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Merengue FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
