In the 16th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Costa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abe Habenicht in the 18th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abe Habenicht might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abe Habenicht ran back to his position shaking his head. After 26 minutes, 龙然明 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garanhão do SUL and the Śląsk Katowice players grew even worse after the yellow card. 龙然明 kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Garanhão do SUL from getting a goal against them. Antoni Walaszkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcato Rebocho in the 29th minute of play. If Teofil Rzegotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofil Rzegotka might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofil Rzegotka ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Torcato Rebocho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoni Walaszkiewicz. Śląsk Katowice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torcato Rebocho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Abe Habenicht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Teobald Wiatrak kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Antoni Walaszkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofil Rzegotka was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Edgar Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Angel Edorta replaced 龙然明. Śląsk Katowice's Marek Bronicki was substituted for Teofil Rzegotka. Garanhão do SUL's Salvador Lousada got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Bronicki in the 62nd minute of play. Marek Bronicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatius Casasola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Bronicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Marek Bronicki notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Bronicki's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Torcato Rebocho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Walaszkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Śląsk Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Aureliusz Ochabski. The supporters of Śląsk Katowice booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Edorta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Salgado came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoni Walaszkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Bronicki in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignatius Casasola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95thth minute of the game Adelino Salgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Śląsk Katowice were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Garanhão do SUL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marco Amaral took the corner. After taking down the ball on Śląsk Katowice's corner Marco Amaral fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ignatius Casasola quite easily take care of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
