The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lê Teo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hai Duong protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lê Teo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Hai Duong:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Timo!:s goal. Hai Duong:s Osman Şenel showed great skill when he stopped Ilie Hurmuz:s penalty. Hai Duong's Osman Şenel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandr Lunin in the 6th minute of play. Timo!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Arthur Clarke scored to the left of an out of position Elpidio Amor, making the score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Hai Duong's goal looked a bit too open when Dževad Kasimović came free, but Osman Şenel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hai Duong's goalkeeper Osman Şenel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elpidio Amor made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ngô Duy sent off a good shot on target. Ngô Tran kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Tadeusz Merski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osman Şenel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Clarke came free, but Elpidio Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osman Şenel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Karbowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Ilie Hurmuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osman Şenel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osman Şenel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Pacifico in the 38th minute of the match. Osman Şenel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Hurmuz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Ngô Tran fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hai Duong's protests and gave Ngô Tran a yellow card for diving instead. Osman Şenel went to the wrong direction when Ilie Hurmuz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Osman Şenel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Merski in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Dževad Kasimović made a precise shot to the right of Osman Şenel. Hai Duong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Huỳnh Mai scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elpidio Amor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Phạm Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Huỳnh Mai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Izydor Karbowski got free with Osman Şenel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Timo! were awarded a corner. Ilie Hurmuz went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Hai Duong getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nguyễn Hoang hit a great ball. Dževad Kasimović might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osman Şenel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dževad Kasimović ran back to his position shaking his head. Osman Şenel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilie Hurmuz in the 85th minute. Osman Şenel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandr Lunin, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Hai Duong's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Dževad Kasimović scored to the left of an out of position Osman Şenel, making the score, 2-2.
