After 10 played minutes Hurst Green got a freekick which was hit by Bwana Kamathi. Talleres's Jorge Martínez got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hurst Green getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Chuma Obondo hit a great ball. Hurst Green's Peter Nyamau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Tab in the 13th minute of play. Peter Nyamau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Tab in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tab in the 19th minute of play forced Hurst Green's goalkeeper Peter Nyamau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. McDonald Leakey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 王竞耀 having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when McDonald Leakey got free with 王竞耀 in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Tunberg to maneuver through the defense. Peter Nyamau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Nyamau came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Mauricio Manuelo. But to his dismay, Mauricio Manuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The supporters of Talleres booed when Hurst Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chuma Obondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Nyamau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Peter Nyamau came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Mauricio Manuelo. But to his dismay, Mauricio Manuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After a rather tough play, Hurst Green's Bwana Kamathi got a free kick in the 47th minute. Talleres made a substitution. Izydor Bugajski replaced Perico Pérez. Talleres's Sergiu Bulencea was substituted for Lukita Modrić.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adah Keter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Antony Asati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 王竞耀 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 王竞耀 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from McDonald Leakey in the 57th minute of the match. When Antony Asati came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hurst Green fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Asati couldn't finish the play. Peter Nyamau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Manuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alfredo Tab's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Peter Nyamau firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hurst Green's Peter Nyamau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Hurst Green from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Manuelo in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Nyamau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 王竞耀 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Asati, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Hurst Green were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Talleres's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Dadi took the corner.
