Ovidio Favila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peng Xu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Gartxot during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Iturri in the 24th minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Favila in the 33rd minute of play forced Kiev FC's goalkeeper Peng Xu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The GUSESI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kiev FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Iturri was the one to do the kick off. Ladislao Batista struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Thibaut Courtois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kiev FC. In the 75th match minute, GUSESI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Tonete to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind GUSESI's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 minutes GUSESI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Mutafchiev who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Angelino Abeita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thibaut Courtois was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alvaro Gartxot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. Antonio Mutafchiev was slow to take the kick. During this time Kiev FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Alvaro Gartxot heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Angelino Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The Kiev FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
