After 16 played minutes Ireland 1921 got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Senin. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Horea Vrejiu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boguslaw Kaider's late challenge caught a C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boguslaw Kaider helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Boguslaw Kaider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ireland 1921's Generoso Gaxan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Armando Maradona in the 20th minute of play. Generoso Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Armando Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Criston in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Panait Ponor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ireland 1921 the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Panait Ponor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonel Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Horea Vrejiu in the 29th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ireland 1921's goalkeeper Generoso Gaxan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Diego Armando Maradona came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Armando Maradona couldn't finish the play. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Bilbo in the 55th minute of play. Panait Ponor kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ireland 1921's Boguslaw Kaider shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ingvar Hellkvist but with some difficulty. The throw-in from Gogo Mon in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Filip Tăcutu. In the 60th minute Angelo Rage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Maradona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Generoso Gaxan. Ireland 1921's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Armando Maradona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ireland 1921's Frank Pinho was substituted for Boguslaw Kaider. Generoso Gaxan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Przybyciel in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Maradona in the 71st minute of play forced Ireland 1921's goalkeeper Generoso Gaxan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Banaszak in the 72nd minute of play. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Robert Ţugui was substituted for Emanuel Buciuman. The audience was convinced that Herbert Banaszak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingvar Hellkvist was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Herbert Banaszak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingvar Hellkvist having to make a save. After a rather tough play, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Filip Tăcutu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Isidoro Bilbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Hellkvist having to interfere.
