In the 5th minute Stamen Šiškov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Zvonko Floreski in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by NGOP Football Club's Idlir Kaevski. A collision led to U21 Macedonia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Anastas Mojsovski hit a great ball. Hernani da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Dimovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Januz Hristovski came free, but Pejko Dzaferi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes U21 Macedonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Slavoljub Kjani who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, NGOP Football Club's Miromir Gamza got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 37 minutes, Slavoljub Kjani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NGOP Football Club and the U21 Macedonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Slavoljub Kjani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamen Šiškov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 42 minutes, Jonče Urgovski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NGOP Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonče Urgovski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Rilind Mena put in a rough tackle. 44 minutes into the game, one of U21 Macedonia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stamen Šiškov was the one to do the kick off. Pejko Dzaferi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januz Hristovski in the 52nd minute of play. Anastas Mojsovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hernani da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonče Urgovski in the 66th minute of play forced U21 Macedonia's goalkeeper Pejko Dzaferi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of NGOP Football Club booed when U21 Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Dimovski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trajče Ickovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
