The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Teodoro Pacorro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Georg Hannesson, 2-0. After 14 minutes, Hagbarður Nikulásarson made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tala AFC's Israel Quirce tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Grimmu Tröllin's Skúta Ákason in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Israel Quirce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Skúta Ákason went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Grimmu Tröllin defense, Angel Raulo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hannesson. The Grimmu Tröllin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hannesson should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Hjálmtýr Oddmarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Froilan Checa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georg Hannesson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Hagbarður Nikulásarson put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Israel Quirce. In the 37th minute, Froilan Checa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Georg Hannesson. The goal made the score 4-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Raulo got free with Georg Hannesson in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Skúta Ákason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hagbarður Nikulásarson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Grimmu Tröllin's Hagbarður Nikulásarson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-4. Hagbarður Nikulásarson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skúta Ákason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Quirce having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Checa in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georg Hannesson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angel Raulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Georg Hannesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Skúta Ákason came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Grimmu Tröllin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Skúta Ákason couldn't finish the play. Grimmu Tröllin's Georg Hannesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Raulo in the 72nd minute of play. Hagbarður Nikulásarson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Israel Quirce made a huge save. Israel Quirce didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Grimmu Tröllin's Hagbarður Nikulásarson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Tala AFC's Israel Quirce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Tala AFC from getting a goal against them. When Marten Oddgeirsson fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grimmu Tröllin's protests and gave Marten Oddgeirsson a yellow card for diving instead. Marten Oddgeirsson hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Pacorro in the 86th minute of play forced Grimmu Tröllin's goalkeeper Georg Hannesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes, Teodoro Pacorro made it 6-5 with a short kick to the right side. Grimmu Tröllin's Georg Hannesson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tala AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grimmu Tröllin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
