After 4 played minutes Morata got a freekick which was hit by Justo Radaban. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Melquiades Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Sugar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Cabanela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Isusko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Barro's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Lauro Sauca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Cipriano Isusko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Lauro Sauca notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Larsen's Cipriano Isusko. Cipriano Isusko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Llin Zárate charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Llin Zárate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Morata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llin Zárate to maneuver through the defense. If Melquiades Sugar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Cabanela made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Melquiades Sugar sent off a good shot on target. Victor Cabanela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Ostadar in the 29th minute of the match. Morata's Victor Cabanela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Morata from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Larsen's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Barro came free, but Cipriano Isusko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Lauro Sauca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Morata got a freekick which was hit by Justo Radaban. Marco Lazcano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The Larsen fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Larsen's Nestor Ostadar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauro Sauca got free with Cipriano Isusko in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute Pablo Barro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Cabanela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Ostadar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Morata getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Costante Canosa hit a great ball. Nestor Ostadar succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. After 75th play minutes Lauro Sauca shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Cipriano Isusko and just under the crossbar into goal. Pablo Barro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cipriano Isusko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Pablo Barro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Radaban hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Larsen's Siro Jerardo tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raimundo Vellito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Larsen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Morata:s goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
