He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Israel Quirce. After 14 minutes, Dove Deligne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyon and the Tala AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lyon's Dove Deligne got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tala AFC's goalie Israel Quirce was quick on his feet when Adil Gabet aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. When Jean-Marc Coquerel fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyon's protests and gave Jean-Marc Coquerel a yellow card for diving instead. Jean-Marc Coquerel hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Jean-Marc Coquerel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Israel Quirce was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lyon's Adil Gabet suffered a concussion in the 27th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 27 minutes into the game, one of Tala AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Lyon's Jean-Marc Coquerel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Israel Quirce. After having played for 34 minutes, Fabiano Borel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Borel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Ryan Gaschet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Israel Quirce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ryan Gaschet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Israel Quirce having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Tala AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Borel came free, but Israel Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 46 in the game by Ryan Gaschet from a close distance when the talented Israel Quirce managed to make a qualified save. Tala AFC's players were relieved. Tala AFC's Israel Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Borel in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabiano Borel was the one to do the kick off. Israel Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Gaschet, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lyon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristoforo Di Loreto in the 54th minute. The corner led Lyon's Fabiano Borel to a score. 5-0 in the 55th minute. Jâninho Potiguar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Pacorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ryan Gaschet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Tala AFC's Angel Raulo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jâninho Potiguar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 76 minutes into the match, Tala AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Gaschet came free, but Israel Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Israel Quirce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Borel in the 82nd minute of the match. Israel Quirce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Gaschet in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Adrien Pasquet. After 91 minutes, Roque Rexino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tala AFC and the Lyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lyon booed when Tala AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryan Gaschet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 97th match minute, Tala AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Pacorro to maneuver through the defense. Lyon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
