The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Hannesson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Skúta Ákason was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Geirarður Ingimundarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hagbarður Nikulásarson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but 姜正战 made a huge save. After 17 played minutes 山西临汾潜龙队 got a freekick which was hit by 汪弘西. Grimmu Tröllin's Skúta Ákason got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Hagbarður Nikulásarson sped through 山西临汾潜龙队's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 姜正战. After having played for 29 minutes, Skúta Ákason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Skúta Ákason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 minutes, 白钢荣 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 山西临汾潜龙队 and the Grimmu Tröllin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, 白钢荣 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 石沙傲 during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 石沙傲 hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, 汪弘西 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 山西临汾潜龙队's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grimmu Tröllin the free kick. In the 34th minute, 汪弘西 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hagbarður Nikulásarson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 姜正战 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Skúta Ákason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Skúta Ákason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Grimmu Tröllin defense, 谢浩强 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hannesson. The Grimmu Tröllin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hannesson should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Skúta Ákason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Georg Hannesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 汪弘西 in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, 山西临汾潜龙队's 柯朋青 got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Skúta Ákason came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Grimmu Tröllin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Skúta Ákason couldn't finish the play. Georg Hannesson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 倪威国 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 59 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, 倪威国 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Georg Hannesson. 倪威国 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. With a little luck, Grimmu Tröllin's Georg Hannesson got control of the ball when 谢浩强 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 姜正战 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hagbarður Nikulásarson's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Skúta Ákason in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 姜正战 saved 山西临汾潜龙队 from getting behind. 柯朋青 hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Marten Oddgeirsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to 山西临汾潜龙队 getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. 柯朋青 hit a great ball. When Hagbarður Nikulásarson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Grimmu Tröllin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hagbarður Nikulásarson couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the game, 柯朋青 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grimmu Tröllin's Rósmundur Skúlason quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by 山西临汾潜龙队's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Skúta Ákason was slow to take the kick. During this time Grimmu Tröllin's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Grimmu Tröllin's Geirarður Ingimundarson to fire away a dangerous shot which 姜正战 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When 白钢荣 was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. The supporters of Grimmu Tröllin booed when 山西临汾潜龙队 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. 白钢荣 didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Grimmu Tröllin's much stronger midfield.
