Paşa Kultigin's late challenge caught a Lyon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paşa Kultigin helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Dinazorbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Paşa Kultigin. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dinazorbahçe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
