Hagbarður Nikulásarson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 minutes, Skúta Ákason made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Potrero FC's Carolo Birila tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Grimmu Tröllin's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Sendoa came free, but Georg Hannesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Rodrigo Handi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hannesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gilberto Sendoa came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Potrero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Sendoa couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Potrero FC defense, Skúta Ákason kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carolo Birila. The Potrero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carolo Birila should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Potrero FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. The supporters of Potrero FC booed when Grimmu Tröllin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigmundur Sveinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Freddy Txanton fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrero FC's protests and gave Freddy Txanton a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Txanton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Geirarður Ingimundarson made a precise shot to the right of Carolo Birila. Potrero FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. A collision led to Grimmu Tröllin getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Geirarður Ingimundarson hit a great ball. Georg Hannesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Sendoa in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Handi made the kick off in the second half. Georg Hannesson made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Gilberto Sendoa sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Potrero FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Honorato Jakue hit a great ball. When Adrian Stephen fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrero FC's protests and gave Adrian Stephen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grimmu Tröllin booed when Potrero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Grimmu Tröllin's Skúta Ákason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carolo Birila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grimmu Tröllin's Rósmundur Skúlason managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodrigo Handi in the 58 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Grimmu Tröllin defense, Gilberto Sendoa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hannesson. The Grimmu Tröllin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hannesson should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Handi in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georg Hannesson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Georg Hannesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Abar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Skúta Ákason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters rose to their feet, but Skúta Ákason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Birila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hagbarður Nikulásarson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Birila having to interfere. Grimmu Tröllin's Georg Hannesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Handi in the 74th minute of play. Marten Oddgeirsson charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marten Oddgeirsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Melchor Jakue came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Potrero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Jakue couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Hagbarður Nikulásarson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carolo Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skúta Ákason in the 83rd minute of play. Fanngeir Oddvarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Melchor Jakue sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Hannesson skillfully saved the ball. Carolo Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geirarður Ingimundarson in the 91st minute of play. Carolo Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hagbarður Nikulásarson, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 95th match minute, Potrero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Txanton to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grimmu Tröllin had won after a very even match.
