Georg Hannesson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Larsen booed when Grimmu Tröllin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geirarður Ingimundarson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Nestor Ostadar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hannesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Larsen's Hermengildo Viviano got a free kick in the 14th minute. Marco Lazcano hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Grimmu Tröllin's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Lazcano came free, but Georg Hannesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geirarður Ingimundarson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Grimmu Tröllin got a freekick which was hit by Sigmundur Sveinsson. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sigmundur Sveinsson during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Larsen reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Larsen's zone, Skúta Ákason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Isusko came out of the goal and Skúta Ákason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skúta Ákason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georg Hannesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Ostadar in the 46th minute of the match. Cipriano Isusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skúta Ákason in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nestor Ostadar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Lazcano got free with Georg Hannesson in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geirarður Ingimundarson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Cipriano Isusko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grimmu Tröllin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geirarður Ingimundarson during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cipriano Isusko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Skúta Ákason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Skúta Ákason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipriano Isusko came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Grimmu Tröllin's Hagbarður Nikulásarson. But to his dismay, Hagbarður Nikulásarson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 82nd minute Geirarður Ingimundarson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Larsen's Cipriano Isusko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hagbarður Nikulásarson in the 86th minute of play. Sigmundur Sveinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Isusko having to interfere. Cipriano Isusko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Skúta Ákason's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Cipriano Isusko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Skúta Ákason, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Grimmu Tröllin were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
