In the 2nd minute, Grimmu Tröllin's Hagbarður Nikulásarson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xines De Pedro. Xines De Pedro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Hagbarður Nikulásarson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Xines De Pedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Paradela De Abeleda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Castelao to maneuver through the defense. Xines De Pedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Skúta Ákason, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Marin Castelao in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grimmu Tröllin's Sigmundur Sveinsson. Hagbarður Nikulásarson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xines De Pedro having to make a save. In the 13th minute, Hjálmtýr Oddmarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Rufino Morado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Hannesson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Hagbarður Nikulásarson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Xines De Pedro to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, Hagbarður Nikulásarson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Paradela De Abeleda FC's Xines De Pedro. Xines De Pedro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xines De Pedro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skúta Ákason in the 22nd minute of play. Georg Hannesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Abellan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the Grimmu Tröllin defense, Antolin Abrego kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hannesson. The Grimmu Tröllin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hannesson should have stopped the shot. Skúta Ákason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Xines De Pedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Lara's late challenge caught a Grimmu Tröllin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Lara helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Paradela De Abeleda FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Lara. After having played for 47 minutes, Hagbarður Nikulásarson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hagbarður Nikulásarson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Skúta Ákason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marten Oddgeirsson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Skúta Ákason made a precise shot to the right of Xines De Pedro. Paradela De Abeleda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After some careless play in the Paradela De Abeleda FC defense, Sigmundur Sveinsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xines De Pedro. The Paradela De Abeleda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xines De Pedro should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Paradela De Abeleda FC's Georg Hannesson threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antolin Abrego, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Georg Hannesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antolin Abrego, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Skúta Ákason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grimmu Tröllin's supporters rose to their feet, but Skúta Ákason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xines De Pedro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hagbarður Nikulásarson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6-2 became the score in the 78th minute when Skúta Ákason elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Paradela De Abeleda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufino Morado to maneuver through the defense. Grimmu Tröllin's Skúta Ákason got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xines De Pedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hagbarður Nikulásarson in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Grimmu Tröllin's Guðfinnur Hjörvarsson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Guðfinnur Hjörvarsson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grimmu Tröllin protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Guðfinnur Hjörvarsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grimmu Tröllin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Georg Hannesson had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Alirio Mangas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 95th minute, Paradela De Abeleda FC's Marco Abellan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-3. Grimmu Tröllin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
