The supporters of Tala AFC booed when Grimmu Tröllin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigmundur Sveinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 14 in the game by Hagbarður Nikulásarson from a close distance when the talented Israel Quirce managed to make a qualified save. Tala AFC's players were relieved. Grimmu Tröllin's attentive Geirarður Ingimundarson managed to snatch the ball when Domingo Nuno made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. Hagbarður Nikulásarson took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Israel Quirce. Israel Quirce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Georg Hannesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Teodoro Pacorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hannesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Geirarður Ingimundarson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hagbarður Nikulásarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rósmundur Skúlason kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Grimmu Tröllin getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sigmundur Sveinsson hit a great ball. Alejandro Dei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Georg Hannesson. Grimmu Tröllin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tala AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Skúta Ákason scored to the left of an out of position Israel Quirce, making the score, 3-0. 35 minutes into the match, Sigmundur Sveinsson notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Tala AFC's Israel Quirce. Israel Quirce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Israel Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Skúta Ákason, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With his leg Israel Quirce managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Grimmu Tröllin's Hagbarður Nikulásarson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Georg Hannesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Pacorro in the 43rd minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Grimmu Tröllin's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Pacorro came free, but Georg Hannesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Skúta Ákason made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Angel Raulo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georg Hannesson. Grimmu Tröllin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Raulo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 56th play minute Angel Raulo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Georg Hannesson. 4-2. After 60 minutes, Hagbarður Nikulásarson made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tala AFC's Israel Quirce tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Israel Quirce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hagbarður Nikulásarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Angel Raulo notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Grimmu Tröllin's Georg Hannesson. Georg Hannesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Georg Hannesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Raulo in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute Skúta Ákason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guðfinnur Hjörvarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Georg Hannesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Dei, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tala AFC's Teodoro Pacorro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georg Hannesson. That made the score 5-4 after 82 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marten Oddgeirsson during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Marten Oddgeirsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
