In the 45th minute, Jerônimo Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Nova Iguaçu MZFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Naci Cumhur made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Bertrand Hatun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Mascitti came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
