Ogro F.C.'s Alysson Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 2nd minute of play. Ogro F.C.'s Igor Cavalera got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Cavalera in the 19th minute of play. Fausto Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alysson Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Igor Cavalera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naldo Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alysson Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Remir. Alysson Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jerônimo Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Cavalera in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Ogro F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Tanek Poreda hit a great ball. Edward Krzynowek didn't quite understand what happened when in the 47 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alysson Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 60th minute, Jerônimo Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens-Ove Eriksson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Cavalera in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd minute of the match Ogro F.C. got a corner. Scarlet Speedster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jerônimo Vergílio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jerônimo Vergílio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença did a great save. 65 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo Vergílio. In the 67th minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alysson Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ogro F.C.'s Mike Mangini was substituted for Alex Van Halen. Ogro F.C.'s Dan Zimmermann was substituted for Nicko McBrain. Igor Cavalera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. When Samuel Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scarlet Speedster's protests and gave Samuel Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. Ogro F.C.'s Marco Minnemann was substituted for Igor Cavalera. Scarlet Speedster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ogro F.C. the free kick. In the 91st minute, Raigo Vananurm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Samuel Quirino got a free kick in the 92nd minute. With 93 minutes on the clock, Ryszard Janiczek commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ryszard Janiczek hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Ogro F.C.'s Danny Carey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Naldo Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ekialde Nadal in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alysson Rezende saved Ogro F.C. from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
