Júnior de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mickaël Maris made a huge save. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Matorin in the 19th minute of play. Paolo Ferdinand's late challenge caught a Nova Iguaçu MZFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Ferdinand helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to B-S-L getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Paolo Ferdinand hit a great ball. Tomás Mazza missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 23 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Peter Lundgren right hand side. Peter Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júnior de Moraes. B-S-L's Peter Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Penha in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, B-S-L's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Peter Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, B-S-L's Guga Bezerra got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Matorin in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Penha in the 41st minute of play forced B-S-L's goalkeeper Peter Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patryk Gecionis. With a little luck, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris got control of the ball when Patryk Gecionis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior de Moraes came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adilson Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior de Moraes in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, B-S-L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Matos to maneuver through the defense. Hudson Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Júnior de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior de Moraes in the 62nd minute of the match. Laércio Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Lundgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of B-S-L's Peter Lundgren. Peter Lundgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Nery Dominguez got a free kick in the 80th minute. B-S-L made a substitution. Edvaldo Porto replaced Júnior de Moraes. The supporters of B-S-L booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nery Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes in the game Ahmet Harun Kıncal did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Guga Bezerra. Peter Lundgren made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Laércio Penha sent off a good shot on target. The B-S-L supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nova Iguaçu MZFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nova Iguaçu MZFC.
