Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Mané Lara scored to the left of an out of position Mickaël Maris, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laércio Penha in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute of the match, Mané Lara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mickaël Maris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mickaël Maris made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mané Lara sent off a good shot on target. After 15 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Penha. 17 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guilherme Catarinense. Joinville United - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mané Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mickaël Maris was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Laércio Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Mazza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Lara in the 35th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Mané Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Laércio Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Guilherme Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Penha made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Guilherme Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Laércio Penha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guilherme Catarinense came out and tried to block the shot, but Laércio Penha slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 56th minute. Davut İskenderoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 61st minute of play. Joinville United - FSCMZ made a substitution. Jacek Krzynowek replaced Alesandro Coutinho. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Maurício Donatello was substituted for Mané Lara. In the 64th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Penha to maneuver through the defense. Mickaël Maris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Donatello's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Laércio Penha scored 2-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guilherme Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Penha in the 72nd minute of play. When Laércio Penha came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Penha couldn't finish the play. Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Krzynowek, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Donatello came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Donatello in the 82nd minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Jacek Krzynowek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Donatello in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Maurício Donatello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mickaël Maris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olavo Costa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Lennart Khan succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-4. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
