Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Diamante Negro DK - VV from getting a goal against them. Luiz Eduardo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Osmar Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Perez in the 16th minute of play forced Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rogério Ceni made a huge save. Wiliam Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Eduardo Galvão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiliam Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Eduardo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel de Amorim got free with Rogério Ceni in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogério Ceni was a little too slow when Manoel de Amorim got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Perez in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Eduardo Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Sidney de Queirós almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão did a great save. In the 35th minute, Sidney de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Eduardo Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 43rd minute of the game Mathias Varela made a throw-in which Dalmo de Brito played forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo de Brito during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo de Brito to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wiliam Perez to make the kick off. Igor Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wiliam Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Eduardo Galvão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiliam Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wiliam Perez in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Galvão saved Aesir FC FSCMZ from getting behind. If Wiliam Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luiz Eduardo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Villarreal Ubach was substituted for Wiliam Perez. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Victor Silva was substituted for Hugo Zonta. A sloppy throw-in by Manoel de Amorim in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Diamante Negro DK - VV's Jerônimo Salles. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Villarreal Ubach got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Villarreal Ubach sped through Aesir FC FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Galvão. Luiz Eduardo Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Villarreal Ubach in the 93rd minute. Chants of Diamante Negro DK - VV echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Aesir FC FSCMZ had held the ball for most of the match.
