In the 13thth minute of the game Kang Fan Xiang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube Audax Metropolitano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Fernando Schmidt was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Zumbi's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano got control of the ball when Maciej Marchlewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maciej Marchlewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Santo Lano made a huge save. Santo Lano came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Zumbi's Almir Salgado. But to his dismay, Almir Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Santo Lano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kang Fan Xiang in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Vila Zumbi got a corner. Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Fernando Schmidt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vila Zumbi's Carlos Fernando Schmidt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santo Lano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Almir Salgado notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano. The Vila Zumbi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clube Audax Metropolitano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
