Korhan Kutalmış hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Cortez in the 32nd minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gino Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Vâtcu in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Trindade Atlético Club's Dragoş Vâtcu fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Róbson Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Gabriel Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Relyn Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gino Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Cortez went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vinhas in the 60th minute of play. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
