The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Jiang Yu Lin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Amado Parente hit a great ball. After 24 minutes of play, FALCÕES VERDES's Betinho Lenzi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laçın Cumayev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zigmantas Gimbutas scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jiang Yu Lin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Ferraz came free, but Laçın Cumayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 80th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Yu Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
